Why do you offer so many angles to choose from?

We understand that every rider has individual needs, so we offer a choice between three different angled bases to help our customers feel secure in the saddle. All options place the rider’s leg in the correct position on the side of the horse for optimal control and communication with the equine partner. Correct positioning reduces strain on the rider’s ankles, knees and hips and also reduces the likelihood of injury to the horse.


How do I know if I have the correct angle?

You know you have chosen the correct angle when you are able to keep your heels comfortably in the correct “down” position. You should be secure in the stirrup and feel an appropriate amount of weight under the ball of your foot and toes when you are going over a jump and in the landing position. In addition, your leg should be still and not swinging. You should experience a “stretch” in your leg, but no pain.


What do I do if I think I have the wrong angle?

We offer a 30-day guarantee on our stirrups, so if you feel that you do not have the correct angle, you can contact us at (403) 230-0113 or email us at and we can exchange them for a different angle. Simply send the stirrups back to us (at your cost) and we will exchange them for a new pair (at our cost). Alternatively, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase within that 30-day period, simply return the stirrups in the original packaging container at your cost, and we will provide you with a full refund.


Can I purchase custom stirrups?

Absolutely! Just contact us via phone or email to discuss your needs.


Do the stirrups mark/scratch the saddle?

Because of the tread on the footbed, occasionally, the stirrup irons can rub against the tack when not in use. It is recommended that you either purchase or make your own stirrup covers. Many tack stores sell stirrup covers/bags, but you can also use a pair of stretchy socks or make your own covers.


What are your shipping costs?

Shipping in Canada is free. If you reside outside of Canada, contact us for shipping costs.


When I can expect to receive my stirrups?

Once you have purchased your stirrups, it takes between 5 – 7 days to process and ship.
